Why have a home inspection?
In all homes, whether new or old, many things are not looked at simply by “walking through” the home. Did the contractor install the correct insulation? Can you tell if the home has the proper wiring? Do you have “double taps”? Do you know that any of these conditions can be a potential fire hazard? Contractors can be pushed along to finish their houses on schedule. What happens if they should fall behind? Do they take “short-cuts”? Is it perhaps the home you are purchasing that has these “short-cuts” in them?
With a home inspection, you will have a documented listing of any items that need to be addressed by either the seller or the buyer. This can bring you the peace of mind you need when making probably the MOST EXPENSIVE purchase of your life.
